US fraud investigator arrested for ammo found at MoBay airport - Jamaica Observer

ST JAMES, Jamaica -- A fraud investigator visiting Jamaica from the US was arrested following the seizure of several rounds of ammunition at the Sangster International Airport in Montego Bay, St James, on Monday.

The 39-year-old woman, whose name police have declined to release as she has not been charged, is said to be from Charlotte, North Carolina in the United States.

Information reaching Observer Online is that around 1:05 pm the woman was departing on a flight to Fort Lauderdale, Florida when her black suitcase was searched.

During the search, the police said, four rounds of ammunition were found. The bullets were seized, and the police called in.

The foreign national was taken into custody pending further investigations, the police said.
