Irish Commercial Charter Boats (ICCB) has ordered the design of a 14-m crew transfer vessel (CTV) from Rockabill Marine Design
ICCB is seeking a versatile, customised vessel capable of carrying 12 passengers and 1 tonne of deck cargo. The vessel will enable ICCB to secure contracts in Irish and UK waters.
Designed in accordance with the MSO P5 passenger boat licence and the MCA Workboat Code 3, the vessel will be powered by twin OXE 300 outboard engines.
With onboard facilities including a heads/wet room and a full galley, the vessel will prioritise the comfort and convenience of both passengers and crew.
Operating at speeds of up to 25 knots, even at maximum cargo capacity, ICCB will use the vessel in the nearshore market, serving support vessels, cable-laying vessels, jack-up barges and turbines, if required.
ICCB owner Eoin Grimes said the new vessel "not only enhances our fleet" but "enables ICCB to excel in the competitive market for commercial charter services."
