The Fiji Secondary School Rugby League (FNRL) has received positive feedbacks as it kickstarts ground work on development in schools.

Before the start of the season FNRL and the National Rugby League (NRL) teams have been building momentum and provided insightful knowledge and skills about the sport.

Earlier this month, the team visited Noco Secondary School in Rewa to conduct a rugby league orientation session.

According to the FNRL Community and Pathway, the session was to ignite the passion for the sport in students and pave a way for success.

The FNRL Community and Pathway reported an impressive turnout during the orientation session at Noco Secondary School.

The organisation said 57 young boys and 34 determined young girls turned up for the session.

The orientation promises to be vibrant and inclusive -- embodying the spirit of unity and teamwork in the sport.

The discussion aimed on empowering young minds.

Students were able to delve into the profound impact of rugby league on individuals and communities.

This unveiled exciting pathways within the sport.

According to the organisation, students gained valuable insights to shape their journey and aspirations in life.

Another key area that was discussed during the orientation session was mastering positions which looked at exploring the intricacies of positional roles -- key to fostering a well-rounded team.

FNRL Community and Pathway highlighted that through dedicated sessions, students will refine their skills, understand their strengths and embrace their roles with the team structure.

Students also had the opportunity to participate in a question and answer session.

The Q&A allowed the opportunity for interaction with mentors to seek guidance and share their love of rugby league.
