Bridget (Delia) Higgins (nee Kiernan) died on Sunday, the 3rd day of March, 2024 in her 98th year. Peacefully at her residence in the care of her loving family.

Predeceased by her parents, sisters and brothers, infant daughter Bernadette, husband James, son Jim, daughter Mary Bannon and daughter in law Mary Higgins and great-grandson Daniel.

Delia will be sadly missed and remembered with love by her daughters; Patricia Ward and Angela Mulligan, sons in law; Charlie Ward, Frank Mulligan and Hugh Bannon, her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, wonderful neighbours and carers and a wide circle of friends.

Reposing at Lakelands Funeral Home, Dublin Road, Cavan H12RF78 on Monday, 4th March from 5 p.m. concluding with prayers at 8 p.m. Removal afterwards to her residence for close family, neighbours and friends. Funeral Mass in St. Mary's Church, Carrigallen, Co. Leitrim on Tuesday, 5th March at 12 noon with burial immediately afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
