NAIROBI, Kenya, Mar 8 - Kenya has pledged to reinforce its relationship with Kazakhstan to boost the economic potential of both countries.

According to Transport Cabinet Secretary (CS) Kipchumba Murkomen, who hosted a delegation from Kazakhstan led by the external affairs assistant Erzhan Kh. Kazykhan, the two countries will explore various grounds such as investment, transport logistics, and new markets for products, which will see mutual benefit.

"We want to explore the potential in both countries for investments, transport logistics, and new markets for products such as tea grains, fertilizers, and minerals for the mutual benefit of both countries," he stated.

The CS is also optimistic that the geographical positioning of Kazakhstan makes it an ideal destination for establishing transport links between Kazakhstan and Kenya Port.

"Kazakhstan is a crucial strategic partner for Kenya due to its location between Asia and Europe. It provides an excellent opportunity to establish transport links between Kazakhstan and Kenyan Ports, which are gateways to East and Central African Countries," he stated.

He has further asserted that Kenya's effort to improve infrastructure and trade within the region has borne fruit since it has attracted investment interests around the globe.

"Kenya has forged solid economic relationships with international partners through bilateral and multilateral collaborations. Our efforts to improve infrastructure and facilitate seamless trade within the region and with the rest of the world has attracted investment interest from near and far," he stated.
