JOHANNESBURG - The African Christian Democratic Party (ACDP) says should it be elected into power on 29 May, it will correct what it has described as the wrongs made by the African National Congress (ANC).

Party leader Kenneth Meshoe spoke during its election manifesto launch in Johannesburg on Saturday.

Meshoe announced promises including responding to a call for change by South Africans and rectifying leadership errors made by government.

"This disgraceful ANC government must be held accountable. For how much longer should the suffering masses who are poor, vulnerable, and who are failed by their own government cry out for help?"

Meshoe also called on party members to ensure they cast their votes in favour of his party and not the ANC.

"Over the years, we've heard the ruling party saying, 'give us another chance?', and we are here to say that 30 years is too long - we now want change!"
