Kindiki meets homeland security chiefs to review tactical measures

NAIROBI, Kenya Mar 12 -- Interior Cabinet Secretary Kithure Kindiki has held consultations with homeland security officials in a session Harambee House said sought to review tactical and strategic approaches by security organs.
During the session convened on Monday evening, Kindiki emphasized the ministry's focus on ongoing reassessment and refinement of security protocols to guarantee national safety and to nurture an environment conducive to economic and societal advancement.
"The organs of our National Security are engaged in continuous review of the operational, tactical and strategic approaches to secure our Homeland and create a safe and peaceful environment for socio-economic development," Kindiki's press office stated.
He highlighted the importance of a thorough evaluation as a fundamental element in maintaining a stable and peaceful atmosphere, essential for the prosperity of socio-economic pursuits.
"The operations of the National Police Service (NPS) continue to draw guidance and inspiration from the National Security Strategy and Policy Framework provided by the National Security Council," Kindiki remarked.
Internal Principal Secretary Raymond Omollo, NPS Inspector General Japhet Koome, Deputy Inspector General (Kenya Police Service) Douglas Kanja, Deputy Inspector-General (Administration Police Service) Noor Gabow, and Director of Criminal Investigations Mohamed Amin attended the meeting.
