GREENVILLE -- Ireland may be nearly 4,000 miles from Greenville, but there's still plenty of ways to celebrate St. Patrick's Day in the Upstate for green shot-takers, parade-marchers and candlemakers.

From Greer to Greenville, we've got you covered with bar crawls, festivals and live music.

Festivities begin on March 15 and run through St. Patrick's Day on March 17.

Green tea shots and live music

What: Enjoy special offers at Eastside Bar & Grill, including $3 green tea shots, $4 car bombs and $3 Irish whiskey shots, while listening to live music from local rock and funk band Sidecar.

St. Patrick's Day Parade and Festival

What: Greenville's downtown parade returns again this year. Floats will run along Main Street and end at NOMA Square, but the party doesn't stop there. From 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., stay outside and enjoy free music from six local bands playing Irish music.

When: Saturday, March 16. Parade runs from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. The festival runs from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.

What: Run a race and party after. That's what The Pint Station is proposing in Easley. This craft beer bar will host a 5K run followed by a St. Patrick's Day after-party, featuring beverages from the Athens-based Creature Comforts Brewing, food trucks and a DJ. Registration. Cost is $30.

Fifth annual downtown Bar Crawl

What: The St. Patrick's Day Shamrock Block Party & Bar Crawl will fill downtown with green for the fifth time.
