KINGSTON, Jamaica - Excelsior High's Daneil Wright produced the fastest qualifying time ahead of Friday's final of the Class 1 boys' 400m hurdles at the ISSA/GraceKennedy Boys' and Girls' Athletics Championships on Tuesday.
Wright won the third and final heat in 50.90 seconds ahead of Calabar's Shadane Smith (51.74), Jamaica College's Princewell Martin (51.98) and Petersfield's Romaine Campbell (51.99).
Kingston College's (KC) Antonio Forbes recorded a time of 51.37 to win heat one with Excelsior's Richard Hall claiming the second automatic spot (51.87).
Heat two went to Shamari Jennings of KC (51.87), while Herbert Morrison's Trevoy Smith was second in 52.09.
The final of the Class 1 boys' 400m hurdles is scheduled for 9:05pm Friday.
