KINGSTON, Jamaica - Jamaica College's Kemarrio Bygrave safely secured his spot to the semi-final round of the Class 1 boys' 800m at the ISSA/GraceKennedy Boys' and Girls' Athletics Championships.

Bygrave clocked a comfortable 1:57.97 to win semi-final one.

Rounding out the automatic qualifiers in the event are Calabar's Justin Webb (1:58.25) and Omarian Clarke (2:00.86); Vere Technical's Justin Green (1:58.91); Maggotty High's Yoshane Bowen (2:00.47) and Charehon Connally (2:00.23); Carlington Williams of Bustamante High (2:01.11); Edwin Allen's Joseph Parks (2:00.58) and Joel Morgan (2:00.88); Kingston College's Jaquan Coke (2:00.62) and Rekelme Hunter (1:59.44); JC's Jermaine Fender (2:00.95); Port Antonio's Ainsley Brown (1:58.93); Simon Bailey of Charlemont High (1:59.11); St Elizabeth Technical's Barrain Smith (2:00.88) and Joaqueem Miller (1:59.55); Campe Leon Martin (2:03.56) and Bellefield High's Roquelme Johnson (2:01.15).

The semis of the Class 1 boys' 800m is scheduled for 4:10pm on Friday.
