NAIROBI, Kenya, Mar 24 -- Three police officers have been arrested over the murder of a Dagoretti-based detective attached to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI).
The three reportedly intervened in a feud over a traffic incident involving a popular city DJ and the deceased officer on March 16.
Khadija Abdi, Sammy Rotich, and Agnes Kerubo were arrested on Saturday after the deceased officer identified as Inspector Felix Kelian Kitosi succumbed to injuries.
Although the police report stopped short of identifying the said DJ, footage emerged showing the dramatic arrest of DJ Joe Mfalme with reports indicating he was detained at Kabete Police Station under whose jurisdiction the incident was reported.
The National Police Service was silent on the matter only confirming the deceased officer died while undergoing treatment at Nairobi West Hospital where he was hospitalized with abdominal pain.
His body was moved to the Umash Funeral Services-Mbagathi where an autopsy examination was conducted on Saturday as investigations commenced.
