Two-day 'abhivyakti Surat' To Showcase Theatre, Dance | Surat News - Times of India

Surat: Diamond City will witness the second edition of Abhivyakti -- The City Arts Project from Apr 6. As part of the initiative of the UNM Foundation of the Mehta family of Torrent Group, a two-day event with performances in theatre, dance and music will be organized.

The theme of Abhivyakti Surat will be "Every Story Matters". The performances that will be showcased have been specially selected from the most-admired performances of Abhivyakti that were held in Ahmedabad during Nov-Dec 2023.The event is being held at SCET Amphitheatre with entry open to all.

On the first day Vaishali Gohil's musical performance "Saptapadi ni Fatanabaji" and a dance performance by Shraddha, Pankhi, Pari Brahmbhatt titled "Hasli" will be held. On the second day, a musical performance by Sumant-Aalap titled "Advaitam" will be showcased followed by a theatre performance "Bapuji Ni Chhelli Ichchha" by Ravi Ughrejiya.

Since its launch in Ahmedabad in 2018, this one-of-its-kind arts project has witnessed participation from over 330 artists from across India on a platform provided by the UNM Foundation's initiative. Over the years, Abhivykati has grown as more than 2.8 lakh people have already witnessed the performances.
