Kirk Franklin arrives in Jamaica ahead of Fun in the Son performance - Jamaica Observer

KINGSTON, Jamaica - International Gospel artiste, Kirk Franklin has arrived in Jamaica ahead of the return of popular gospel concert, Fun in the Son.
The entertainer was photographed with Minister of Culture and Entertainment, Olivia 'Babsy' Grange after he landed on the island on Friday night.
Fun in the Son is scheduled to take place on Saturday, April 20 at the National Arena. In addition to Franklin, the event will also feature performances from the likes of TobyMac, Kevin Downswell, Jermaine Edwards, Carlene Davis, Petra Kaye, Prince San and many others.
This year's theme is 'Music as Mission'.
Speaking at the launch of the 2024 staging of the event at the AC Hotel Kingston in March, Grange shared that she is pleased with the growth of the family-friendly event and is excited to see its return.
"I am happy to see that Fun in the Son is back to bring a safe, enjoyable space where the entire family and community, regardless of religious background and beliefs, can gather and be a part of a fun-filled day of entertainment," she stated at the time.
