CAPE TOWN - Rise Mzansi has listed its plans for the Western Cape, from turning golf courses and government buildings into social housing as well as improved safety.

The party's Western Cape premier, candidate Axolile Notywala, and other party leaders said their plan was to create "bridges" between communities from all backgrounds.

The party presented the plan in Khayelitsha on Tuesday.

Rise Mzansi took to Khayelitsha on Tuesday where Notywala detailed the party's plans for the city and the province.

One of his plans is to address the lack of housing through various social housing initiatives, including a land audit.

"We will make large pieces of public land such as military bases and golf courses in Mowbray and Rondebosch available for social housing or parks and recreation centres."

He said the party would also focus on making communities safer by increasing crime intelligence capacity.

Party leader, Songezo Zibi, said the Western Cape would be a place of renewal, with elections in just over a month.
