Father, daughter referred for mediation following fight - Jamaica Observer

KINGSTON, Jamaica -- A father and daughter were referred for mediation on Tuesday when the Kingston and St Andrew Parish Court learnt that they had a physical altercation at home.

It is alleged that Selbert Brown and his daughter Simone Brown had a disagreement in the home which later developed into an argument that turned physical.

During the fight, Simone reportedly grabbed her father's greying beard, and in retaliation the elder Brown pushed his daughter and punched her.

They were each charged with assault occasioning bodily harm following the incident.

Presiding Judge Carlo Mason asked the father and daughter if they would be open to mediation to which they responded in the affirmative.

The Browns' bails were extended to facilitate the mediation process.
