The Pearl of Africa Tourism Expo (POATE 2024) aims to unite both private and public sector players within Uganda to establish Uganda as a top choice destination in domestic, regional, and international markets. This event, spanning seven years, has consistently delivered exclusive business opportunities, networking platforms, and travel trade agreements.
Scheduled from 23rd-25th May 2023 at the Speke Resort Convention Centre in Munyonyo, Kampala, POATE 2024 will be a comprehensive B2B & B2C exposition. The lineup includes 70 hosted buyers, 186 exhibitors ranging from tourism boards to corporate entities, tourism associations, trade visitors, and consumers.
POATE 2024 serves as a catalyst to fortify Uganda's tourism identity in key traveler-generating nations, fostering enduring business relationships between hosted buyers and local suppliers. This platform also opens doors for small and medium-scale operators to engage with global buyers and exhibitors, bridging gaps that might have existed due to financial constraints.
By spotlighting Responsible Tourism as its theme, POATE 2024 aligns with Uganda Tourism Board's vision to advocate for responsible destination management, positioning Uganda as a sustainable tourism hub globally. The expo will accentuate Uganda's conservation successes, cultural preservation efforts, and community involvement, showcasing Uganda's unique offerings under the brand "Explore Uganda, The Pearl of Africa."
