KINGSTON, Jamaica -- Arya Resort Management Group has announced that they will be opening a fried chicken restaurant outlet in Kingston in August, which will bring to five, the number of its outlets in Jamaica.
The new store, which will be opened on Red Hills Road on August 1, 2024, will come five months after the Arya Resort Management Group opened its fourth Jamaican BirdShack Fried Chicken restaurant in Ocho Rios, St Ann.
The company also opened three of the eateries in Montego Bay, St James between 2022 and December 2023.
With this new location, BirdShack will be able to provide 35 new jobs to include managers, cashiers, cooks, prep cooks and servers among other employees.
According to a release, for Chief Executive Officer of Arya Resort Management Group, Wayne Cummings, the Kingston location brings back fond memories for him, as he used to frequent the then Sugar & Spice store at the very same location.
BirdShack will now operate just a few doors down from his alma mater, St Richard's Primary School.
The BirdShack CEO says this store is only the first of several others to be developed in the Kingston market even as the group continues to add others in other parishes across the island.
