Tutu Refugee Centre | Trust wants arch's name removed from refugee centre

CAPE TOWN - The Archbishop Tutu IP Trust wants the late arch's name removed from the Marabastad refugee centre.

This follows raids by the SIU and Hawks at various refugee facilities across the country last week.

They were acting on information about alleged bribery and corruption by home affairs officials.

The Marabastad Refugee Reception Centre was one of them.

Tutu agreed to the use of his name in 2016 after being informed of the facility's turnaround strategy by the Home Affairs Department.
