Ulu Tiram attack: Five family members rearrested under Sosma, says IGP

PETALING JAYA: Five family members of the attacker involved in the Ulu Tiram police station attack in Johor have been rearrested under the Security Offences (Special Measures) Act (Sosma), says Tan Sri Razarudin Husain.
The Inspector-General of Police (IGP) said on Friday (May 24) that security aspects at isolated police stations will be improved with CCTV surveillance and proper lighting,reported Bernama.
The Ulu Tiram police station attacker was shot dead by police after he killed two policemen and injured another on May 17.
Five of his family members, aged between 19 and 62, were arrested after police records revealed that his father had been previously involved with the terrorist group Jemaah Islamiah. They remain in police custody for investigation.
