DUBLIN -- The man whose body was found in Dublin Lake on Friday afternoon has been identified as a 51-year-old Massachusetts resident, Dublin police said Saturday evening.
Timothy Aeschliman, of Fitchburg, was found unresponsive by paddleboarders and was determined to be dead when first responders pulled him from the water, according to a news release issued by Dublin Police Chief Timothy Suokko. He was wearing a wetsuit and swimming cap, and police found his vehicle and shoes near the shore.
Although Aeschliman appears to have drowned, his cause of death was still being investigated Saturday by Dublin police, N.H. Marine Patrol and the state medical examiner's office, the release says.
Dublin police responded to the north side of the lake at about 3 p.m. Friday, and were assisted at the scene by members of the Dublin and Peterborough fire departments and N.H. State Police.
Police ask anyone with information that might help the investigation to contact the Dublin Police Department at 603-563-8411.
