Hastings, N.Y. -- A 41-year-old man has been accused of raping a woman and posting photos of her online without her consent, troopers said.
Joshua M. Sprague, of Hastings, engaged in sexual conduct with a 42-year-old woman by force, Trooper Jennifer Jiron, a spokesperson for the State Police, said in a news release Monday.
Hastings also posted intimate photos of the victim on a social media page without her consent, she said.
Sprague was arrested on May 9 following the investigation, Jiron said. He was charged with first-degree criminal sex act, a felony, and unlawful publication of an intimate image, a misdemeanor.
During this investigation, two other women came forward to report sexual offense allegations against Sprague, Jiron said. The incidents occurred from 2017 to 2024 at multiple locations in Oswego County, she said.
Sprague was arrested again on May 24 and charged with first-degree rape, first-degree criminal sex act and predatory sexual assault, all felonies.
He was arraigned at CAP court in Onondaga County, and held in the Onondaga County Justice Center.
Investigators believe there may be more victims. They ask anyone with further information regarding Sprague to contact State Police at Troop D Headquarters in Oneida at 315-366-6000.
