Woman killed in Keningau crash

Tenom: A woman was killed in an accident involving four vehicles along Km 5, Tenom-Keningau road at 7.45pm on Sunday.
Acting Tenom District Police Chief ASP Ahmad Razali Shaari said the 56-year-old who was travelling in a Proton Saga succumbed to her injuries at the Keningau Hospital.

Preliminary findings showed that the accident happened when the Saga car lost control and hit the rear of a Yamaha motorcycle ridden by a 30-year-old man and his wife.
The impact threw the motorcyclist and his pillion onto the left shoulder of the road.

At the same time, a Perodua Myvi which came from the Keningau direction rear-ended the Saga.

The accident left the 35-year-old pillion with severe injuries to her left leg, while the Saga passenger who was the wife of the Saga driver, succumbed to her injuries when receiving follow-up treatment at the Keningau Hospital at about 7am the next day.
