46-year old driver dies in two-vehicle crash near Nowra

NOWRA, NSW, Australia - A man has been killed in a head-on collision on the state's south coast.
The two-vehicle occurred on the Princes Highway at Tomerong, about 20 kilometres south of Shoalhaven, Nowra, and 180 kilometres south of Sydney.
The collision took place around 3:30 pm on Monday afternoon.
"On arrival, officers attached to South Coast Police District found two vehicles had collided head-on," a NSW Police statement released Tuesday said.
"NSW Ambulance paramedics treated a 46-year-old driver; however, he died at the scene."
"The second driver, a 67-year-old man, was trapped for some time before being released and taken to St George Hospital in a serious but stable condition, the statement said.
"There were no other occupants in the vehicles."
A crime scene was established and forensically examined by specialist police, in advance of a report to be prepared for the Coroner.
