CAPE TOWN - The National Sea Rescue Institute (NSRI) said it had suffered two disturbing acts of vandalism of its shark bite kits in Jeffreys Bay.
One kit was vandalised and the first aid equipment stolen, leaving the protective box irreparably damaged.
The organisation said that these kits served as essential life-saving tools, much more than just first aid supplies.
The NSRI's Andrew Ingram: "Having these kits readily available on the beaches gives first responders immediate access to critical life-saving equipment, ensuring swift action in emergencies. We must now replace the stolen equipment and repair the damaged boxes, which costs R5,000. If you are able to help, please go to our website, nsri.org.za."
