PETALING JAYA: The level of restoration of the water supply to affected areas in all areas affected by the latest water cut is at 12.7%, says Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Air Selangor).
It said that this figure is 6am on Thursday (June 6).
"The percentage of water supply recovery in the affected areas is expected to reach approximately 20% at 3:00 pm on Thursday and 90% by Friday (June 7)," said Air Selangor.
It added that full recovery in all affected areas is expected to be by 12pm on Friday.
The areas affected by the asset maintenance and replacement works in Sungai Selangor Phase 1 Water Treatment Plant (SSP1 WTP) are in Petaling, Klang, Shah Alam, Gombak, Kuala Lumpur, Hulu Selangor and Kuala Selangor.
Air Selangor added that the duration of the water supply disruption and recovery in the affected areas will vary depending on the location of the consumer's premises and the water pressure at the distribution system.
"We would like to advise consumers who have and will receive their water supply to let the tap flow until it is clear before using.
Air Selangor hopes that consumers who have received their water supply will use water prudently to ensure that the recovery process in the affected areas runs smoothly," it added.
