Man allegedly murders woman during heated argument

IPOH: The 48-year-old woman who was allegedly killed by her husband in Kampung Simee is believed to have been in a heated argument with the latter.
When contacted, Ipoh OCPD Asst Comm Abang Zainal Abidin Abang Ahmad said the victim had often argued with her 56-year-old husband.

On Wednesday, the woman was found in a pool of blood at the porch of her house at Laluan Simee 11, Kampung Simee here, with three stab wounds on her chest and an injury to her head.
The police have seized a knife and a metal rod believed to have been used in the murder, and obtained an order from the Magistrate's Court here to remand the husband for seven days until next Wednesday to facilitate investigations.
In another unrelated incident, ACP Abang Zainal Abidin said police have arrested a man in his 30s to help with investigations into the death of his mother, who was in her 60s, at Dataran Tasek Timur 5 in Bercham here on Wednesday.
"The man will be tested for drug abuse," he said.
"The woman was found lying face down on the floor near the back door of the living room, with injuries to her head.
"The victim's body has been sent to Hospital Raja Permaisuri Bainun mortuary for post-mortem," said ACP Abang Zainal Abidin.
He added that the case has been classified as sudden death.
