The Linden Technical Institute (LTI) and the University of Guyana (UG) will play in the final of the Tertiary Basketball League II after contrasting victories in the respective semi-finals on Sunday night at the National Gymnasium, Mandela Avenue.

LTI thrashed the Guyana School of Agriculture (GSA) by 51 points while UG fended off a challenge from the Government Technical Institute (GTI) to eventually win 60-44.

In semifinal one, LTI in the absence of GSA's leading scorer in the tournament, Shannon Wilson, took command of the game, sprinting out to a daunting 24-3 lead early on in the game.
