In a Minute: July concerts at Hampstead library

HAMPSTEAD -- Hampstead Cable TV and Hampstead Public Library will hold a summer concert series starting July 3 at 6 p.m. at the library's pavilion, 9 Mary E. Clark Drive.
The free Wednesday concerts begin with a performance by Mr. Aaron, a popular interactive performer and his band. He will delight children of all ages with his variety of instruments and songs.
Other July performances at the pavilion include The Bel Airs performing oldies, The Last Duo, Relative Soul and Steve Blunt, an award-winning children's musician.
There is no rain venue.

Small space gardening
ATKINSON -- Learn about small space gardening from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on July 9 at Kimball Library, 5 Academy Ave.
Join Arianna Iappini of The Birch Arbor Gardens to learn how to grow an abundant garden with big impact in small spaces.
The workshop will teach a variety of techniques. Whether growing in the ground, raised beds or containers, this workshop will help to cultivate confidence in gardening.
Iappini focuses on climate conscious garden designs that welcome biodiversity, support balanced ecosystems and create natural pollinator habitats. Her goal is to illuminate the pathway to an edible garden for the aspiring gardener.

Ice cream, science demonstration
HAMPSTEAD -- There will be an interactive program for children to learn how to make ice cream from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. on June 28 at Hampstead Public Library, 9 Mary E. Clark Drive.
The team from Sub Zero Nitrogen Ice Cream will be on hand.
The program will include science facts and formulas, and demonstrated in kid-friendly language.
The Sub Zero staff will then transition to making the ice cream and relating what the children learned to the science of liquid nitrogen ice cream.
Space is limited and those interested in attending are required to sign up on the library's website at hampsteadlibrary.org.
While this program is for young kids and teens, adults who are accompanying their children may also eat the ice cream. Register only the members of each group who will eat ice cream.
Kingston car show
KINGSTON -- The Friends of Kingston Historical Museum Heritage Day will hold a car show from 9 a.m. to noon Aug. 3 at Sanborn Regional High School, 17 Danville Road.
Car registration is $5 per vehicle. All makes and models welcome.
Trophies will be awarded. Registration starts at 8 a.m.
Admission is a minimum donation of $1 per person. All proceeds support the Kingston Historical Museum.

Plaistow decades dance
PLAISTOW -- Celebrate Plaistow's 275th anniversary with a decade dance and dinner from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Friday at Plaistow Fish and Game Club, 18 Mayray Ave.
Tickets are $35. The event is part of the town's Old Home Day celebrations.
Participants can dress in attire from their favorite decade. There will be prizes for best costumes and outfits.
This event is for adults 21 years old and older.
